About FreeToolHub

A small site with three rules: privacy by default, quiet by design, free forever.

Who built this

FreeToolHub is built and maintained by Sebastian Bertelsen Wolf, an independent developer based in Denmark. Sebastian also operates NorthernWolf AI, a separate brand focused on AI consulting and tooling.

FreeToolHub is a one-person project. There is no company, no investors, no team. The site exists because it should exist.

Why this exists

Most free online tools are not really free. They cap your free tier at three uploads per hour. They watermark your output. They wait until you have spent twenty minutes on a tool before asking you to log in. They upload your files to a server you have never heard of, in a country you cannot find on a map.

FreeToolHub exists as the alternative. The tools here run in your browser, do their job, and get out of the way. Nothing is uploaded. Nothing is tracked. Nothing is held back behind a paywall.

How it works

Every tool runs as JavaScript inside your browser. When you compress an image or split a PDF, your file never leaves your device. The server's only job is to send you the page in the first place.

The site is built as plain HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript with no frameworks and no build step. The full source code is on GitHub. You can audit it, fork it, or self-host it.

Three quiet rules

№ 01

Privacy by default

Your files never leave your device. There is no analytics, no fingerprint, no cookie. The tools work offline once the page has loaded — and that is the point.

№ 02

Quiet by design

No popups, no upsells, no flashing banners. Each tool does one thing, with the smallest possible interface, and gets out of your way.

№ 03

Free forever

No accounts, no paid tiers, no rate limits. Funded by goodwill alone.

How it is funded

FreeToolHub is currently funded out of pocket. Hosting on Cloudflare Pages costs almost nothing for a static site of this size. There are no ads, no affiliate links, no paid placements, no sponsorships.

If the site eventually grows enough to need a sustainability model, the plan is one carefully chosen contextual ad per tool — never a personalized tracker, never a freemium tier, never a banner. Until then, this is a small thing built for use, not for a return.

Frequently asked

Is FreeToolHub really free?

Yes. No accounts, no paid tier, no daily limits, no watermarks, no waiting. Every tool is free for everyone, with no caps and no upsell. This will not change.

What happens to my files when I use a tool?

Nothing leaves your device. Every tool runs as JavaScript in your browser, processes your file locally, and shows you the result. The server never sees the file.

Who runs this site?

Sebastian Bertelsen Wolf, an independent developer based in Denmark. There is no company, no team, no investors. It is a one-person project.

Why are there no ads?

Personalised ads require trackers, cookies, and consent banners — exactly the things this site exists to avoid. If the site ever needs revenue, it will be a single contextual ad per tool, with no tracking.

Can I contribute?

Yes. The full source is on GitHub at SebLynX/toolboxhub. Pull requests, issue reports, and tool suggestions are all welcome.
