No. The caption text is drawn onto an HTML5 Canvas entirely in your browser. Your photo never leaves your device and is never uploaded anywhere.
What images can I use?

Does this tool include ready-made meme templates?
No. Popular meme images are usually copyrighted, so this tool does not bundle any template pictures. Upload your own photo and add the classic caption style on top of it instead.
How do I get the classic bold meme font look?
The tool already renders captions in a bold, condensed display font similar to Impact, in uppercase with a black outline by default. Auto-fit sizing scales the text to the widest size that still fits the image.
Can I change or remove the text outline?
Yes. Use the outline color picker to change its color and the outline thickness slider to make it thinner, thicker, or drag it to zero to remove the outline completely.
What formats can I download my meme in?
You can export as PNG (lossless, larger file) or JPEG with adjustable quality from 60% to 100% (smaller file, easier to share).
