Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser. Your PDF is never sent to any server, so your document stays completely private.
What is the difference between individual pages and ranges mode?
Individual pages mode produces one PDF per page in the source file. Page ranges mode lets you specify ranges like 1-3, 5, 7-10 and produces one PDF per range.
What is the maximum file size?
There is no fixed limit. Since processing happens in your browser, performance depends on your device. Most users can split documents of up to 100 MB without issues.
Can I split password-protected PDFs?
User-password-protected PDFs cannot be opened without the password. Please decrypt the file first using a desktop PDF tool, then split it here.
Why do I get multiple downloads or a ZIP?
When the split produces more than one output file, the tool offers a ZIP download containing all PDFs. For up to 50 files you may also trigger sequential single downloads. For more than 50 files a ZIP is required because most browsers block bulk individual downloads.
