Frequently Asked Questions

Is my text uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser using JavaScript. Your text is never sent to any server, so you can safely paste private notes, feedback, or documents.

How does the tool decide how big each word is?

Word size is based on how often it appears in your text — words that repeat more often are drawn larger, scaled against the most frequent word in your list.

Can I remove common words like "the" and "and"?

Yes. The "Skip common words" option filters out frequent English stopwords automatically, and you can add your own words to exclude, separated by commas.

What image format can I download?

The word cloud downloads as a PNG image at the size shown in the preview, with a transparent, white, or dark background — ready to paste into a slide deck, document, or social post.

Does it work with non-English text?

Yes. The tool detects words using Unicode letter matching, so accented characters and non-Latin scripts are counted correctly. The built-in stopword list is English only, so for other languages add words to exclude manually.

Is there a limit to how many words can appear?

You can show up to 150 words. Above about 60-80 words the cloud gets dense and smaller words may not find space and get skipped — the frequency table below always lists every word that was counted, even if it didn't fit on the canvas.
